WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE STARTUP SHOWCASE
The MassChallenge Virtual Startup Showcase is a two-day event to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home, or office, or car – anywhere you want, really. While we hope you'll attend both days, we know your calendar may not.  Read below to understand more about the event and how you can get started now to optimize your experience.


Event Platform
While the event technology, Hopin, is mobile compatible we believe that guests will have the best experiences from their laptops or desktop computers while using a stable internet connection. Please note: Hopin requires recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari 11 or greater.

Optimize Your Showcase Experience : 

• Before you enter the event, you will have access to our  Startup Look Book where you can familiarize yourself with 2020 Cohorts, identify the industries that pique your interest, and locate the startups you want meet via their showcase booth link. 
   
• Conversation & connection are key to a successful showcase experience for you and the startups. The Hopin platform is armed with multiple ways to engage with the startups and gives you full control of the video, audio, and chat features. These are the best ways to experience the showcase: 
  • Audio & Video is a key component of the showcase. We recommend that event guests share both their audio and video when in a startup booth.
  • Audio Only is available for attendees who do not want to be seen on camera. 
  • Chat is also a way you can connect with startups during the showcase. When you are in a startup booth you can simply chat with the founders to learn more. 
    

• The Main Stage area of the event will be a key activity point for the experience on July 16 & 17. We encourage guests to attend these sessions to orient yourself with the showcase, hear for the MDs, and familiarize yourself with the platform. 
  • Welcome Remarks take place from 12:00PM ET-12:10PM ET (11:00AM CT- 11:10AM CT)  
  • Closing remarks take from 2:50PM ET-12:10PM ET (1:50PM CT- 11:10AM CT). 
    

• Startups Pitches take place at their booths on the 00:15 and 00:45 of every hour (e.g. 1:15pm and 1:45pm).  Please be courteous upon entering and exiting a startup booth. The startups may be pitching or having active conversation. That being said, please share your audio and video so the startup knows that you are in their booth. 
   
• MassChallenge Help Desk is available at the showcase. Stop in the booth anytime to ask questions and get support from the MassChallenge Team.
