Why The DSR Award?

The food system is one of the most important levers for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The DSR Foundation,  therefore, wishes to promote innovation throughout the food chain: from production to waste management, through modes of education, consumption, processing, or transport.

The DSR Foundation seeks to reward a Swiss project that is innovative, viable, and has a social and/or environmental impact, such as:

  • Promoting health through better nutrition
  • Reducing the ecological footprint of food
  • Access to quality food
  • Reducing food waste
  • Strengthening the social bond through food
