By leveraging s'more works significant footprint in the Japanese innovation ecosystem startups in the program will gain access to resources, industry-matched mentorship, in combination with MassChallenge's global network. With virtual and in-person sessions in Tokyo and Boston, participants will refine and further develop their ventures, connect with investors, and gain traction into international markets.

    Startups in this category leverage cutting-edge scientific advancements and engineering innovation to address complex global challenges. This includes ventures in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), quantum computing, robotics, advanced materials, space exploration technologies, and more. These startups are often research-intensive and aim to transform industries through breakthrough technologies. 
  • Healthcare, Biotechnology, and Related Industries 
    This category focuses on startups developing solutions to improve healthcare delivery, diagnostics, treatment, and prevention. It encompasses biotechnology firms working on drug development, gene therapies, and vaccines; medical device companies creating innovative diagnostic tools or treatment devices; and digital health platforms improving patient outcomes through telemedicine, AI-driven analytics, or wearable technology.
