Virtual Victory Pitch Competition

The AARP Innovation Labs Virtual Victory Pitch Competition is a national competition that seeks to identify the most promising startups with technologies that empower people to choose how they live as they age at home. Selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch in front of a national audience of aging industry experts. Examples of eligible companies include but are not limited to technologies that assist the aging population with managing stress and anxiety, promote healthy eating habits and behavioral change, help people stay virtually connected, and monitor health concerns from home.

AARP Innovation Labs and MassChallenge HealthTech are committed to showcasing top technologies that empower people as they age at home. The Virtual Victory Pitch Competition is a national competition that will provide a platform for the top startups to pitch their technologies in front of industry leaders, receive media exposure, and power them to new revenue heights with the following benefits:   

Finalists

  • Receive comprehensive pitch coaching by MassChallenge HealthTech
  • Exposure to an audience of aging industry experts, AARP Innovation Labs leadership, and media 

Winners

  • Opportunity to attend and pitch at the 2020 AARP Innovation Labs Grand Pitch Finale

Eligibility

The Virtual Victory Pitch Competition accepts applications from technologies that empower people to choose how they live as they age at home within the following criteria:  

  • That are set to make a big impact in the aging space 
  • Have not previously worked with AARP Innovation Labs 
  • Based in the United States  
  • That have generated less than $500,000 annual revenue and/or less than $5M equity raised 

Examples of eligible companies include companies with technologies that:  

  • Assist with managing stress and anxiety  
  • Promote healthy eating habits and behavioral change 
  • Help people stay virtually connected 
  • Track and address health concerns from home 
  • Allow people to stay in their home longer

Is the competition virtual?  

Yes, the Virtual Victory Pitch Competition will occur virtually via Zoom.

The MassChallenge team will coordinate tech logistics with you.  

What do I need to apply?

  1. Read the Competition Benefits and Eligibility Requirements 
  2. Create a 1-2 minute video outlining your founder story and product demo 
  3. Upload the video to YouTube or other platform 
  4. Complete the application below (we recommend creating your application first offline in a word processor) 
  5. Submit your application 

What should my video look like?  

Keep it short and sweet. We would like to see 1) your founding story and problem you are solving and, 2) a demo of your product. The video should be 1-2 minutes long. You will have the opportunity to pitch your solution live if you are selected to pitch on May 26.
